Invitation to Co-Active Coaches

Welcome to the Agents of Change Alliance!

Hello fellow Co-Active Coach! I’m excited that you’re here to learn more about the AOC Alliance, a new community to support coaches and leaders, and I’m thrilled to be able to finally unveil it after months of hard work pulling everything together!

Are you MMAD? On a Mission to Make A Difference?

As coaches, many of us have a mission – a difference that we want to make to our clients’ lives, the wider world, and that’s where this community aims to serve you. It’s more about growing you, the coach, than your coaching skills. It’s about how you show up, in your business, your brand, for your clients and in your own life. Having been coaching and running a coaching business for over 15 years now, it’s clearer to me than ever that this is the linchpin to really achieving everything we want for ourselves and our clients.

How the Agents of Change Alliance Came to Be…

Having stuck at running the ECC for over 12 years on a voluntary basis, I think it’s pretty clear that I’ve always had a strong commitment to, and belief in, the power of community – and the potential it holds to support us in our life and work. I’ve always had a deep inner knowing that it’s important, and this quote from Helen Keller has always stuck with me “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much…“. So it was a sad day for me in 2016, when I came to the realisation that we had reached the point where it was no longer feasible to keep the ECC going. Still, we had a great run and held 29 events that collectively had over 1,500 coaches attend over a period of 12+ years. I wrote more about that in my recent blog post: The ECC Legacy.

Since that realisation, I’ve been in curiosity about whether that was really the end, held a space for let things unfold in time. I hadn’t really envisioned starting something new, but when the idea for this new venture surfaced, the yearning I’ve always had for a powerful peer support community was reawakened, and the Agents of Change Alliance was born.

I wanted to create a structure whereby your learning and growth journey continues and and you are fully supported to step into being the best coach and change agent you can be. You get to become part of something bigger – something that really supports you to raise your game. Within the AOC structure there are monthly calls, regular live events and retreats – so you can keep the learning alive, have the support and connection with like-minded colleagues, and you get to chose how often you want to participate.

I want this be a community whereby coaches on a mission are really supported to thrive, and live, and lead, untamed and unafraid!

That is my vision right now, and I’m sure it will grow and evolve as the community grows. My wish is for the alliance to be shaped by those who choose to become actively engaged members.

Unlike past community ventures I have led, the European Co-Active Community, and the CALL Europe, this one is not linked in an way to CTI, nor is it exclusively for Co-Active Alumni, however Co-Activity and the spirit of Co-Active Leadership will always be at it’s heart.

As I said at the beginning of this post – it’s aimed at coaches and leaders who are MMAD? On a Mission to Make A Difference. Are you one of them? It is a Peer Support Network who’s aim is to support people who are working to make a difference in the world. I want to enable you to truly live, and lead, untamed and unafraid by helping you to: Grow your Life, Grow your Leadership, and Grow your Impact!

A Final Request

In response to my previous recent posts on various Co-Active groups, a number of people replied to me saying that they too have tried to setup and run events for Co-Active alumni, but the biggest challenge they faced was getting the word out. There is no graduates directory, no way of contacting programme graduates, and that is why most ventures of this nature have historically struggled, and it’s ultimately one of the main reasons why the ECC became increasingly unfeasible to keep going.  .

My belief is the only way for other Co-Active alumni to learn about this (and other ventures) is if we spread the word. A bit like a chain letter. You tell the people you’re connected to, they tell the people they’re connected to, and so on. After all, isn’t that how CTI’s coaching and leadership programmes largely get promoted… because we talk about them!

So that is my request, please talk about this. Even if it is for not for you, please spread the word as I’m sure there will be others you know that are hungry for this.

Kyle NewmanTHANK YOU!

Live, and Lead, Untamed and Unafraid! Kyle
